IAllerGenie app for iPhone and iPad

The IAllerGenie app allows you to define profiles and add food allergens to each profile. E.g. You can create a profile for each of your family member and assign respective food allergens to each profile. It has a list of 15 common food allergens. You can then scan the UPC barcode on a food product to get the contents information (ingredients and allergens) and also check the product suitability for any of the profile, based on its ingredients.
Know what’s in the food, learn the common allergens present along with the ingredients and make better a choice before you buy.
Note: It requires internet connectivity for product look-up.
The Food API used supports about 90% of the products sold in the US market. It may so happen that the product you scan is currently not available in the product database. Please bear with such instances, if any, as new food products get added every month.
